Sometimes when you click a link to a Ms Office file, It will automatically open it in internet explorer instead of in relevant software in Ms Office. The following will show you how to fix it.As there are many types of software in MS Office, here we just use Microsoft Word as an example. The rest we can do in the same way.
Steps to Follow
- Open my computer. (Or any file folder.)
- Click Tools->Folder Options.
- In File Types tab, find extension as DOC
- Click Advanced button.
- Uncheck Browse in same window here.
- Then click Ok to implement your new settings.
