How to Change Your Internet Explorer Home Page

  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Click “Tools”>“Internet Options.” >“General” tab.
  • If the webpage you want to set as your Internet Explorer homepage is currently open, click the “Use Current” button under “Home Page.”

  • If you want to set a web page other than the one you are currently viewing as your home page, type the URL of that page into the box in the “Home Page” section.
  • To set a group of web pages as your home pages, enter each URL into the box in the “Home Page” section. Be sure to enter each site on its own line. By doing this, when you start Internet Explorer or click the “Home” button, a window with tabs showing each of these web pages will open.
  • To go back to the original webpage that was set as your home page when Internet Explorer was first installed, click the “Use Default” button.
  • To have a blank page when you open Internet Explorer, click the “Use Blank” button. When you are finished, Click “Apply” and “OK.”
